Captain Charlie arrived in the Cayman Islands from Jamaica in 2004 on a sailboat — just before Hurricane Ivan changed everything. He stayed to help rebuild, fell in love with the island, and has been running private charters since 2013. Every trip comes with local knowledge, genuine warmth, and the kind of experience that turns a good day into a great story.

Captain Charlie arrived in the Cayman Islands from Jamaica in 2004, sailing in on a sailboat just before Hurricane Ivan devastated the island. When the storm passed, the government opened opportunities for people willing to help rebuild — and Charlie stayed.
A local named Ellen Banks from Native Watersports recognised Charlie's natural talent on the water and helped him get his first permit. He went on to work with several charter companies, learning the waters, the reefs, and the rhythms of island life. In 2013, he launched Captain Charlie Charters.
Every charter is personal. Captain Charlie or one of his experienced crew captains is on every trip. They know where the stingrays gather, which hidden reef has the best snorkeling, and exactly when to stop at Kaibo Beach for drinks.

Our primary vessel is Wild Card, a 41-foot Luhrs Express Sport Fisher built for both serious fishing and comfortable cruising. Up to 12 guests for tours (fishing capped at 6–8).
Need a bigger setup? Access to a 35-foot Ocean Pro and other vessels. Two-boat package for groups over 12.

Our private charters are $300 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, so experiences start at $900. The price is per boat (not per person), and accommodates up to 6–8 guests. Deep Sea Fishing is $400 per hour.

Always. Every trip is a private charter for your group only. No strangers, no shared boats.
We recommend 2–3 days ahead, especially during peak season (December–April). Last-minute sometimes possible — just ask.
In the event that we must reschedule or cancel for weather or safety, all payments and deposits will be refunded in full.
Wild Card accommodates up to 12 guests for tours. Fishing capped at 6–8. Two-boat package for groups over 12.
We welcome guests of all ages.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, light layer/rain jacket, camera. We provide all gear and complimentary refreshments.
Quick showers don't stop us. If conditions are unsafe, we reschedule at no extra cost.
Most trips stay in calm waters. Consider non-drowsy remedy if concerned. Deep sea charters can get choppier.
Absolutely. We clean and fillet at the dock. Many restaurants cook it same evening.
